Two Spacecraft Go Separate Ways

Leaving the International Space Station in orbit 220 miles above Earth, space shuttle Discovery undocked to begin the flight home for its seven STS-131 astronauts. Commander Alan Poindexter, Pilot Jim Dutton, and Mission Specialists Stephanie Wilson, Rick Mastracchio, Clay Anderson, Dottie Metcalf-Lindenburger and Naoko Yamazaki of the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency are now scheduled to land at the Kennedy Space Center Monday morning.

    Does the station rotate to keep the solar arrays pointed at the sun or do the panels themselves move? Obviously if something didn’t move they couldn’t remain perpendicular to the incident sunlight as the ISS orbits the sun.
